Photography
I discovered this, from the work of my father-in-law, Paul Bulteel. Visual language can inform, educate and move audiences worldwide. A well composed, and well edited photo story, is universally understood - without the need for a shared spoken language. Following in Paul´s footsteps, this realization led me to enroll in adult education photography studies.
Illustration
I have been into art as far back as I can remember, ever since my education as jeweler. Visual art specifically has a lot of attractive elements to me -
It is a visual language. I put into my art, elements that communicate things both about the subject matter, and about myself.
It is hard to pin down where the ideas come from, as it seems that they can come from anywhere at any time.
Digital Imaging
My passion for digital image processing started with René Magritte and Erik Johansson, and also with my fascination for the graphics and manipulated images.
I wanted to delve further into this world of Photoshop. I started wondering about different ideas - how could I reproduce this kind of artwork.
I felt like I wanted to do something more with my photographs, so that really, pressing the shutter button would only be the start of a journey.
